The menu dont showup because you didnt put cef in correct place or didnt remove old cef from game folder or you didnt let it load since it takes around 10 secs for the menu or login window to appear first time.

And i dont force anything into the game, the whole menu is external, not related to the game at all and its even better since it all runs in a seperate exe and doesnt stress the game at all

if so, make a detailed guide since i reinstalled the game from 0 to install the cef folder on the paths that u show yet it is not working
in the discord server there is another user who has the same problem and same for other people i know

I will check that and try to give it some time to load. And check if theres a process called processhelper_l4d2.exe running in task manager. If its running then it should work. I would guess its not working or it crashed
