Since I have quite a few 4K/HD texture mods installed, the game tends to crash easily without DXVK. But it's okay—I'll just remove some mods when using it. The problem is that the game crashes immediately when I switch to Vulkan mode, and the frame rate is terrible with DX9. That's why I'm asking if there's a way to fix this crash and get them compatible.
I'd recommend using DXVK version 2.3.1 or 2.3. If you insist on using a newer version and are experiencing stuttering or frame drops, try adding the following two parameters to your DXVK.conf file:
dxvk.enableGraphicsPipelineLibrary = False
d3d9.forceAspectRatio = false
1.10.3 should fit this game the best. Newest versions are horrible in l4d2 as you said
And the cheat worked on version 2.3.1?
