I tested it sometime ago to see if i gain fps and seems like i hadthe same issue as you until i read online that my gpu dont support anything higher than dxvk 1.10.3 bexaus  my gpu is trash. If ita not the case then send crash file

I have a lot of mods installed for Left 4 Dead, so the game crashes very easily without DXVK enabled. When I try removing the -vulkan launch option, the program can load and run properly. But as soon as I add the -vulkan option to enable DXVK, the game crashes immediately. Try without vulkan option. Install dxvk from github manually with d3d9.dll thats what i did
I also dont think dxvk is being appiled when using vulkan option, corrent me if im wrong

And.. the game runs very well on directx, if you crash, you need to find the cause which its workshop probably, dxvk will not magically fix such problems.

About visual reborn, theres no longer such issues of addons causing the game to crash because visuals was injected. Your game will crash anyways
