I host my own local lobbies and i swear people complain about fps drops all the time. I too noticed them with previous versions, current one included, especially when hordes spawn. I.e when there are a lot of zombies around. I don't think huge fps drops are an acceptable trade off for anything really. No matter how good the improvement overall may be. No improvement feels worth the trouble if the game becomes unplayable because of heavy fps drops. Just my opinion. There should be ways to satisfy both sides of the coin. For people who would accept the fps drops and for those who wouldn't. Just saying.
It might look that theres not much progress done in coming version but no, alot of work was done. Including all the issues of current version
In coming version a new type of anti obs will be added that makes glow/chams/thirdperson/mirrorcam to be anti obs possibly more stuff i didnt bother checking. However it takes large amount of fps.
Also all chams options were changed, theres no more xyz or dme options and it was replaced with a new type of chams that support all custom colors
But i am really curios, what options in particular would cause fps drops with current version and past working versions? I would assume chams are the culprit but i may be wrong. Just wanna know which options cause these fps drops cause they really impact the performance severely and for the worst no less.
Some stuff like glow or draw distance or hitboxes options drop fps. Also dme chams are little heavy
Also if your game is filled with workshop mods its a big factor also
