copy the whole thing in [] and run it in console
you can't set the character as steam name cuz it will be replaced with "<blank>", it can only be set in-game (unless you find another character for this trick).
Another two different ones incase you want to try, but they do "contain some characters":

[setinfo name "ã…¤"]
thanks, but those characters you suggested me to use only make the name invisible in the game, not the tricky unconnected name.
i clearly remember it was worked on my old pc, but now my old pc is gone, because it broke and i sold it, & it doesn't work on my current pc
I don't know if it works on steam, by simply putting "" in your player name before running the game, and done, u will get it.. :)
