I dont play on community or steam group servers - just official servers. Also, past versions didn't have this issue.. why is this happening now? What changed?

fast switch uses lag exploit. it is not that you are using lag exploit
Fast switch itself uses it.

That's fine and all but how comes that past versions didn't have the idling issue? Doesn't make sense at all. It just doesn't.
